In 2019 the world's most popular mini RC series, known as the Kyosho MINI-Z, celebrated more than 20 years of unmatched performance and scale realism in the hobby-grade RC category. The continuous pursuit of performance and evolution has led to the creation of a completely-new ‘MINI-Z 4x4’ design that delivers an all-new driving experience for RC fans of all stripes, with superior overall design, driving performance and high-quality injection-molded scale body construction. A significant feature of the MINI-Z 4x4 series is the greater emphasis of body detail and quality of finish that even surpasses existing benchmarks set by the MINI-Z. The body is also molded with thicker material to better resist crash damage from operation in rough terrain. Incorporating the same ladder- style frame of real 4WD vehicles, the MINI-Z 4x4 boasts a 3-link rigid axle suspension combining what would normally be two upper links into a single upper A-arm to deliver maximum suspension movement. A specially designed high-torque steering servo enables this machine to throw its elbows around in the hard terrain for excellent performance in the toughest rock-crawler conditions. The high-torque 130-size motor brings out the beast in the MINI-Z 4x4, specially geared to run well in the low to medium speed ranges common in crawling. Designed to balance exquisite style, scale detail and superior driving performance, all the MINI-Z 4x4 needs is 8 x AAA alkaline batteries (sold separately). Land Cruiser is recognized as Toyota’s luxury cross-country model. The ‘300’ was released in 2021 and comes equipped with V6 turbo engine to power its simple yet robust body and frame in comfort with high performance over the roughest roads.

MINI-A MOLDED BODY DETAILS

Injection molded bodies enhanced with accessory parts recreate a level of detail in the MINI-Z 4x4 series that surpasses all MINI-Z bodies that have come before.
PAINTED BODY
The factory-painted body has so much detail it rivals that of a die cast model. Thicker body material provides more durability, enabling it to survive more aggressive off-road runs. Door mirrors are produced with a combination of gloss and matte finishes, while wipers, windshield washers, rain rails and door hinges add even more realistic details.
The MINI-Z 4x4 adopts similar mechanism commonly used in 1:10-scale off-road models in its small chassis. In addition to its crawling performance, the highly-detailed body is one of the key features of this model.
FRONT MASK
Eye-catching front mask with separate large grille draws attention with its sharp edges while retaining the dignified strength of the Land Cruiser. Design of the bumper shape allows for clear approach angles, enabling the Land Cruiser’s serious off-road capability with comfort for everyday driving; one of the many reasons for its enduring popularity.
LIGHTS
Headlights and taillights are produced as clear parts for a more realistic appearance. In addition, higher positioning of the lamp limits damage that may occur while driving on rough roads. LED headlights (MZW429R) can be installed to enhance body styling.
BODY MOUNT
A newly-designed one-touch body mounting system is used instead of the mounts commonly used on all previous Mini-Z cars and trucks. The new system uses spring-wire retainers to quickly and easily install and remove the body.
Features precisely formed parts such as roof press lines, roof rails, sunroof, and antenna. High attention to detail is exemplified in parts such as side mirrors and the ZX badge on the rear.for its enduring popularity.

CHASSIS & GEOMETRY DETAILS

The same ladder frame and multi-link rigid-axle suspension commonly used in popular 1:10-scale off-road models, is condensed into Mini-Z size for the most articulation and performance available in any mini RC truck.
LADDER FRAME
The Mini-Z 4x4 incorporates a ladder frame design with steel vertical plates, in combination with various molded parts, to deliver the ultimate balance of of rigidity and flex for superior performance and durability.
SOLID AXLES
Solid front and rear axles feature links with steel rods and captured rod ends. Ring and pinion gears, in addition to other gears and components, feature metal construction to withstand the heavy loads under the toughest driving conditions.
STEEL LINK & BALL END
The upper A-arms and lower links that connect the front and rear axles to the chassis, feature strong steel links and captured ball ends. This is the ideal design for strength, maximum range of motion, and smooth operation.
ADJUSTABLE WHEELBASE
The 4WD system transmits drive force to the wheels from the main gear unit in the center of the chassis through front and rear center shafts. The wheelbase can be set to either 110mm or 120mm by adjusting the length of the spacers on the upper arms. Note the Jeep® uses a 120mm setting.
COIL OVER TYPE, SHOCK ABSORBER
The newly designed shock absorbers feature 360-degree spring retainers, which means they can't be lost on the trail and the springs are more likely to re-seat when the suspension settles after hard impacts or operating at the extreme limits of the suspension. The spring retainers simply cannot come loose.
STEERING ANGLE
The front axle features ideal Ackermann geometry. Combined with the advanced design of the axle housing and the other steering components, This model features the tightest turning radius in Mini-Z history. It means the Mini-Z 4x4 has exceptional handling capability for anything ranging from casual driving to hard-core crawling.
DRAG LINK & TIE ROD
The steering servo drag link and the rugged molded tie rod are part of a steering system that delivers an incredible amount of steering angle, which results in excellent rock crawling capability.
TIRES & WHEELS
This model features a scale reproduction of Toyo Tire's export brand "Nitto Ridge Grappler" tires mounted on custom wheels.
BATTERY TRAY
Four AAA batteries are located on top-front section of the chassis to ensure good ground clearance and achieve realistic rock crawler performance.

DRIVELINE

GEARBOX AND GEARS
The gearbox features molded covers and includes 6 pinion gears that allow adjustment from ultra-low gearing for steep terrain, through to high-speed gearing for smooth running on flat roads. In addition, the need for annoying backlash adjustments has been negated with the special spacer mounted on the outside of the motor.
SLIPPER CLUTCH
A standard slipper clutch protects the drive system by reducing the torque when excessive load is applied. Note the metal upper shaft and primary gear for durability.
18 FULL BALL BEARING SPECIFICATIONS
The best drive efficiency is accomplished with the included set of 18 ball bearings, factory installed to ensure the smoothest most efficient operation possible, right out of the box.
130 MOTOR

ELECTRONICS

NEW SPEED CONTROLLER
The on-board electronics are also unique to the Mini-Z 4x4, with special features that improve the crawling experience. The accessory ports on top of the board allow an optional gyro (MZW431) and an optional LED light set (MZW429R) to be easily plugged in to enhance performance and realism.
STEERING SERVO
The component steering servo features its own casing to allow enhanced performance, and it connects to the receiver/ESC with an independent connector.

We use NZ Post, Aramex, and Post Haste for New Zealand orders. Deliveries are usually 2 working days, but please allow an extra day for big parcels to reach the South Island and for rural deliveries.

We use NZ Post for orders that can fit into overnight courier bags and Post Haste for larger parcels.

Tracking emails will be sent out once parcels have been collected.

The buyer may specify delivery instructions for an order (for example, the buyer may authorise the delivery agent to leave the products in a specified location if the buyer will not be at the delivery address). RC Hobbies will not be responsible for any order that is delivered in accordance with the buyer’s delivery instructions.

Returns Policy

The item I received is not the item I ordered

Provided the item is unopened and in mint condition we’ll replace the item. To receive your replacement you must return the original item to. You will be provided with a no-cost return addressed courier satchel (or similar) and we will process your replacement within 1–3 days of receiving your item.

The item I ordered arrived faulty.

Please arrange with RC Hobbies to return the item for testing. If we confirm that the item was damaged before leaving RC Hobbies, or was faulty out of the box, your item will be repaired or if it cannot be repaired then it will be replaced by RC Hobbies Ltd free of charge. If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumers Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.

The item I ordered did not arrive

If your item did not arrive the first thing to do is request a “track and trace” on your item from the Courier Post or Fastway tracking emails we send out.

If the “track and trace” on your order indicates that it has been delivered, but you’re unable to find it or it hasn’t been delivered within the timeframe we will start an investigation with Courier Post & Post Haste on your behalf.

Regrettably, neither RC Hobbies nor Courier Post & Fastway are able to refund or replace items that have been lost, damaged or stolen after being delivered to your property. If you are concerned about leaving your items unattended we recommend using “Signature Required” option which is our default option unless advise by the Buyer to use the “No Signature Required” option.

I've changed my mind and no longer want the item I ordered

Change of mind returns can be processed as long as it has been agreed by RC Hobbies and the item has been returned within 7 days of dispatch and is unopened and in mint condition. The shipping for the return will also be at the cost of the buyer. Once we have the item in hand we will assess the item and if everything checks out OK you will receive a Store Credit or refund less the restock fee and freight charges.

Restock fee

All goods ordered in error by the Customer or goods the Customer wishes to return are subject to a restock fee. The fee is 15% of the goods sales value.
