Introduction

Developed by Russia's Sukhoi Aviation Corporation, the two-seat, twin-engine Su-30 multirole fighter improved on the Su-27 with greater operational range and the ability to support both air and ground attacks. The E-flite® Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF jet replicates this rarely modeled fighter in striking Extra Scale detail and offers unique flight characteristics and features. From its large size, functional air brake and highly-detailed retractable landing gear to the twin power system and the awesome turbine-like sound it delivers, this Su-30 is designed to impress. The model also features a unique Russian Falcons trim scheme that adds to the authenticity and in-flight visibility.

The E-flite® Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF jet replicates the seldom-modeled Sukhoi fighter with power, maneuverability, and Extra Scale details that all combine for a truly incomparable flying experience. With its twin EDF units running in sync, the Su-30 sounds like a giant-scale turbine-powered jet — and because of its impressively large size it flies like a big jet, too. The 12-blade 70mm fans feature brushless inrunner motors that are paired with 80A ESCs wired to use a single 6S 5000–7000mAh LiPo battery. This power system produces excellent top speed and vertical performance, while the factory-installed, metal-geared servos with ball-link equipped linkages deliver precise control. Functional Extra Scale features include a deployable air brake, LED landing and navigation lights, full-flying stabs, sequenced gear doors and electric retracts with shock-absorbing struts including a trailing-link nose gear so the Su-30 can be flown from a wide variety of surfaces. And a multitude of Extra Scale details make it a standout on the tarmac and in flight, including molded-in panel lines and hatches, removable optional-use ordnance, cockpit detail and a factory-applied finish with a unique high-visibility trim scheme.

Exclusive Technologies

This high-performance Su-30 model comes equipped with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch. And if you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver normally and only AS3X will be active.

High-Performance EDF

Twin 12-blade 70mm fans deliver excellent top speed and vertical performance, while conveniently operating from a single 6S 5000-7000mAh LiPo battery. Making the experience even more exciting is the fantastic sound produced by the two fans running in sync.

Extra Scale Details

The Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF features an abundance of Extra Scale details including molded-in panel lines and hatches, shock-absorbing landing gear, removable ordnance and more.

Functional Scale Features

Easy Assembly

Final assembly can be completed in less time than it takes to charge the battery. The nose cone is magnetically secured and the wings are removable for convenient storage and transport.

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver featuring AS3X (Artificial Stabilization–3–aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence. The result is a heightened sense of stability and precision that makes you feel like you're flying a much larger, expertly tuned aircraft.

If this is your first model of its type, or you want an extra margin of safety while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope protection technology built into the receiver. No programming is required. Simply change up the binding sequence as directed in the manual.

With SAFE Select enabled, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits

These envelope limits keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent excessive climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling

The airplane instantly returns to and holds level flight when the sticks are released and in the center position. It's also helpful for keeping the wings level during takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Switch Assignment- No Programming Required

The simple procedure for assigning a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off doesn't require any programming and takes just a few seconds.

If you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver normally and it will function like a standard AS3X receiver.

Once RC Hobbies has confirmed acceptance of the buyer's order, we will endeavor to dispatch the buyer's order within 1-3 Business days unless a different time frame is specified in relation to a particular product. If we are unable to dispatch the buyer's order within the time frame specified by RC Hobbies we will endeavor to contact the buyer and advise the buyer of the expected dispatch date.

In stock items are generally dispatched on the same day you place your order, unless a different time frame is specified in relation to a particular product and provided the order was placed before our daily cut off time which is usually around 1PM.

We use NZ Post, Aramex, and Post Haste for New Zealand orders. Deliveries are usually 2 working days, but please allow an extra day for big parcels to reach the South Island and for rural deliveries.

We use NZ Post for orders that can fit into overnight courier bags and Post Haste for larger parcels.

Tracking emails will be sent out once parcels have been collected.

The buyer may specify delivery instructions for an order (for example, the buyer may authorise the delivery agent to leave the products in a specified location if the buyer will not be at the delivery address). RC Hobbies will not be responsible for any order that is delivered in accordance with the buyer’s delivery instructions.

RC Hobbies can send goods to PO Boxes, except for large freight boxes.

Returns Policy

The item I received is not the item I ordered

Provided the item is unopened and in mint condition we’ll replace the item. To receive your replacement you must return the original item to. You will be provided with a no-cost return addressed courier satchel (or similar) and we will process your replacement within 1–3 days of receiving your item.

The item I ordered arrived faulty.

Please arrange with RC Hobbies to return the item for testing. If we confirm that the item was damaged before leaving RC Hobbies, or was faulty out of the box, your item will be repaired or if it cannot be repaired then it will be replaced by RC Hobbies Ltd free of charge. If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumers Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.

The item I ordered did not arrive

If your item did not arrive the first thing to do is request a “track and trace” on your item from the Courier Post or Fastway tracking emails we send out.

Alternatively you can call Courier Post on 0800 268 743 or Post Haste on 09 444 2950

If the “track and trace” on your order indicates that it has been delivered, but you’re unable to find it or it hasn’t been delivered within the timeframe we will start an investigation with Courier Post & Post Haste on your behalf.

Regrettably, neither RC Hobbies nor Courier Post & Fastway are able to refund or replace items that have been lost, damaged or stolen after being delivered to your property. If you are concerned about leaving your items unattended we recommend using “Signature Required” option which is our default option unless advise by the Buyer to use the “No Signature Required” option.

I've changed my mind and no longer want the item I ordered

Change of mind returns can be processed as long as it has been agreed by RC Hobbies and the item has been returned within 7 days of dispatch and is unopened and in mint condition. The shipping for the return will also be at the cost of the buyer. Once we have the item in hand we will assess the item and if everything checks out OK you will receive a Store Credit or refund less the restock fee and freight charges.

Restock fee

All goods ordered in error by the Customer or goods the Customer wishes to return are subject to a restock fee. The fee is 15% of the goods sales value. This applies if you change your mind, ordered it in error, unwanted Gift or just did not like it or did not suit you, so please choose carefully and read the descriptions in the listings as some products also require additional items to complete.
